Do NOT ask "When will .... be released?" on the cbox!!! If you do, you will be banned. This is a STUPID question, we do NOT know the answer (we always release as soon as a chapter is ready), and it ANNOYS us so much that it delays the releases.
Join Manga Abyss' team !
We really really reaaaaaally need more Japanese to English translators !!!

Here is a little description of the positions available in our team : to apply or to get more information, please register in the forum and visit the recruitment forum !
WE DO NOT IMPOSE DELAYS ON THE STAFF ! We all have to live our life, scanlating is just a hobby and it's not like we are working for real here 8D But still, make sure that you have enough free time before applying (and apply to a position that is fit to your amount of free time... for example an editor needs more time to finish a chapter than a proofreader, or a translator.)
YOU CAN CHOOSE YOUR PROJECTS ! As long as it's not already being done by another staffer of course XD And we can propose a wide range of projects since we scanlate both shoujo (cute ones, smutty ones, ... make your choice !) and shounen projects.

Translator :
We mostly need Japanese to English translators. From time to time we also need Chinese to English translators, you can know if we are currently recruiting Chinese to English translators by visiting the recruitment thread. To apply you need to pass a test, you will find it in that thread as well =3
Editor :
You can apply to three different positions concerning the edition :
Cleaner : In charge of rotating, cropping, resizing, leveling the scans and getting rid of all the Japanese text, including the SFX. Experience isn't required, but you have to know the basics for Photoshop (or Gimp, but I can't help with that one if you don't know how to do something !) and be motivated.
Typesetter : In charge of typing the English text on the cleaned scans. This takes waaaaay less time than cleaning !
Editor : that's somebody who is both a cleaner and a typesetter XD
To apply you need to take a test, please read the recruitment thread for more informations !
Proofreader :
The proofreader is in charge of correcting and rephrasing the translation. Since the translators are busy enough understanding the meaning of the Japanese sentences, they don't have to care about grammar mistakes and formulation. That's the PR's job =D So of course, you need to know English very well, and will have to take a test : more information in the recruitment thread !
